Taylor Swift turned 22 on Tuesday (December 13), and what better way to celebrate another banner year than with CMT's Artists of the Year special?

CMT caught up with Swift on the red carpet of the event, and she opened up about being honored alongside fellow Nashville pals Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Brad Paisley.

"What I love about this event is it feels very low-key and fun and you can bring your friends, you sit at a table. It's very unlike any other award show," she said late last month at the taping in Music City. "Because you're not sitting there wondering who's going to win. There's no anxiety, because you know who's being honored, and it's all about hearing the way the music is presented by other artists. It's really exciting."

The All-American Rejects were picked to perform one of Taylor's tracks at the show, which airs on CMT at 9 p.m. ET tonight. For their homage to the country superstar, they decided to take one of her particularly country-tinged Speak Now singles and do it up AAR style.

"It's special. We have a special performance for Miss Taylor Swift," lead singer Tyson Ritter said. "We're performing her song 'Mean.' We definitely sort of took a country song and made it not anything like what it was. It's going to be a tribute to the fact that any song can stand in any genre, and we definitely brought it into ours. We're like the Osmonds, except we're the side that's a little more rock and roll."

Ritter went on to gush about Swift and her work ethic. "She's the real deal," he explained. "She doesn't take sh-- from anybody while she does it. And strong women, that's something to be feared and adored, right?"

Having the All-American Rejects put their stamp on a track is the opposite of whatSwift did on her Speak Now Tour. Stop after stop, she reimagined songs from artists like T.I., Flo Rida and Usher, with the artists themselves right by her side.

"I would sum up this past year as being a spontaneous, exciting, wonderful year of collaborations with artists I never expected would come up on my stage and perform for my fans," she explained. "I see flashbacks of stadium shows and Usher coming out on stage and James Taylor coming out onstage and all these different artists coming out and playing with me, which was an amazing time for me."

Don't miss CMT's Artists of the Year, premiering tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Skrillex Is MTV's EDM Artist Of 2011!

DJ/producer cements his breakthrough year with five Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist.
By Akshay Bhansali

Back in late 2010, EDM superstar DJ/producer deadmau5 told MTV News a star was on the rise. He said his friend and former post-hardcore/emo rocker Sonny Moore — producing and performing under the name Skrillex — was going to be a force to be reckoned with.

"He's taking over — I think he's going to outdo me," deadmau5 told MTV News at the time. "I think he's going to be the first artist on Beatport to eat my lunch and take over the top 10. I don't think anyone in Beatport history has ever done it, but if he does it, I'll be so proud of him, the little goblin!"

Now, the ever-prophetic 'mau5 has more to be proud of. A lot more. In our Best Electronic Dance Music Artists of 2011 coverage, MTV's roundtable has named Skrillex the #1 EDM Artist of 2011, underscored by his most recent series of accolades: He scored a whopping five Grammy nominations, including being the first DJ to land a Best New Artist nod.

Indeed, Moore's musical background — both on his own and as a member of his former group, From First to Last — has carried over into Skrillex's brand of fiery electronica. Skrillex has garnered an audience the world over that includes ravers, house heads and rockers alike. In today's laptop generation of music, Skrillex is the new "rock."

From his remix of Benny Benassi and Gary Go's "Cinema" to the recent Avicii pop song "Le7els" (not officially released yet), Skrillex dropped massive re-workings in '11, in addition to his More Monsters and Sprites EP. He scored video games, produced records for Korn, launched his own OWSLA label and hit almost every major festival in the States, including Coachella and Lollapalooza. An exceptional catalog of releases coupled with an incessant touring schedule has made Skrillex the biggest EDM star of the year. In 2012, he plans to tour 322 of the 365 days.

While he didn't expect to become recognized as this year's biggest success story, Skrillex's peers say the swell of critical and fan support is fitting.

"He definitely deserves it," former OWSLA tourmate, DJ/producer Porter Robinson, told MTV News. "I've been saying it all year: He's the most influential musician of this year, in any genre. Incredible sound designer. Incredible songwriter. Amazing performer."

"He's been in bands before," EDM artist and collaborator Sofi told us. "He's an excellent songwriter. He can sing. He's just so versatile that I think that comes through in his music. He kind of brought this 'rock,' 'raw' element into electronic music. He's the punk rock of the new generation."

Even industry veteran David Guetta, who lands at #2 on our list of the Best EDM Artists of 2011, agreed with all the praise heaped on Skrillex.

"He's extremely talented, and I'm very happy for him," Guetta said of Skrill's Grammy noms. "It's a statement: I think it's really good that an artist from our community is nominated just as 'an artist.' Not as a 'dance' artist, you know? I think that it's good that [our] music is now getting the attention and the respect that all the other styles of music, like hip-hop, are getting."

MTV will reveal the best artists, songs and movies of the year. Come to MTV News each day to see more big reveals and check out more of MTV's Best of 2011 music, TV, movies and news coverage.

Dimmu Borgir Release Live DVD; Plus Led Zeppelin, Brujeria, & More News That Rules, In Metal File

'It shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums,' guitarist says.
By Chris Harris

On October 14, Dimmu Borgir — who just happen to be Demi Lovato's favorite black-metal band — will release a a three-disc DVD/CD set called "The Invaluable Darkness," the band's first visual offering since 2002's "World Misanthropy." Boasting live footage shot last year, during gigs in Norway, Germany and England, "The Invaluable Darkness" demonstrates the unbridled furor of seeing Dimmu live, guitarist Silenoz said.

"It shows the honest rawness and atmospheric darkness of our concerts," the Norwegian told Metal File last week, after dismissing recent online rumors that his band's next LP would be coming out through Roadrunner Records. "Basically, it shows the intense live side of the band, as opposed to the perfection and the cleanness of how we sound on our albums. It's just a different side to the band, basically."

Dimmu Borgir began thinking about "The Invaluable Darkness" two years ago, but didn't start capturing footage until last summer, Silenoz explained, adding that the band will use its current stint on the Blackest of the Black Tour — which got underway Thursday night in Miami Beach, Florida, and also features the tour's founder, Danzig, along with Moonspell, Winds of Plague and Skeletonwitch — to promote the DVD. Dimmu Borgir will not, however, use the tour to write material for their next LP.

"It's our first time on Blackest, but Glenn [Danzig] had wanted to bring us out before [on the tour], but we weren't available until now," Silenoz said. "We've done Ozzfest before, but we're looking forward to this tour more. We did the main stage on Ozzfest, playing in f--_ing broad daylight. This tour will let us play in bigger places, but at the same time showcase more of what the band's about, visually. We are going to concentrate on the tour for now. Some years ago, we tried putting [material] together on the road, but once we got home, we listened back to it, and were like, 'What the f--- is this?' So, we just scrapped it all. We find it's so much better to totally focus on one thing at a time, and then, when that's over, you move on to the next [thing]. We don't really feel like we need to rush things, anyway, so we'll just take our time, and it's going to be what it's going to be."

Dimmu Borgir hope to reconvene in late December to begin writing the follow-up to 2007's diabolically titled In Sorte Diaboli. "We have some ideas floating around already, but we haven't arranged any material yet," he said. "We'll start doing that once the touring for this DVD is over." The band's frontman, Shagrath, is also due to marry soon — he's engaged to actor Nicolas Cage's ex-girlfriend, Christina Fulton, so that may have an effect on when Dimmu finish their next album, which Silenoz said could be out this coming spring.

"I'm sure [Shagrath] won't let anything get in the way [of] the band — I think, I hope," the guitarist said. "We don't need a Yoko [Ono] situation."

While Dimmu have been at it going on 15 years now, Silenoz said he doesn't think their forthcoming material will be much of a departure from their previous black-metal offerings.

"And we have always been about more than just that term, 'black metal,' " he said. "Luckily for us, the older you get, the less concerned you get with the categorization and putting labels on your music. Things start getting more and more limitless with us, and we know that we operate within certain frames. But we try not to analyze things too much, because it's just going to be working against you in the end. When we write new stuff, we don't think about what we should write — we just get together, and put material together, and if we like it, we keep it. That's the formula, if we even have a formula."

Dimmu Borgir are definitely getting older — guitarist Galder will be missing Blackest because of a recent addition to his family, and Susperia's Cyrus will be filling in for him; while former Vader drummer Dariusz Brzozowski takes over for Hellhammer, who had to leave the band in 2007 after sustaining a neck injury that's now limited the use of his right arm. As Dimmu has gotten on in years, Silenoz admits they have failed to keep pace with some of the more extreme black-metal acts that have followed in their wake.

"We helped open doors for the more extreme bands out there," Silenoz said. "I'm sure we helped open doors for bands like Watain, [insomuch as] people that had maybe started listening to us first then went on to the more extreme stuff. Let's face it — we're not as extreme as Watain and other bands like that, but we're fine with that."

The Blackest of the Black Tour continues through November 10 in San Francisco.

The rest of the week's metal news:

Dimmu's tourmates on Blackest, Winds of Plague, have announced ex-Azusa drummer Art Cruz has joined their ranks — he replaced Jeff Tenney. According to the band's blog, "Art has already added a new spark to the band and has provided us with a solid backbone that will allow us to continue our rampage stronger than ever." ...

What the world really needs is another Led Zeppelin box set, so, on November 4, Rhino Records will issue the Led Zeppelin Definitive Collection Mini LP Replica CD box set. For just $200, you'll get 1969's Led Zeppelin, 1969's Led Zeppelin II, 1970's Led Zeppelin III, 1971's Led Zeppelin IV, 1973's Houses of the Holy, 1975's Physical Graffiti, 1976's Presence, 1976's The Song Remains the Same, 1979's In Through the Out Door and 1982's Coda, as mini-LP replicas, with artwork from the original U.K. LP sleeves. Now, you know what you can get your dad for Christmas. ...

Former Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach and current Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz have teamed up for a new project they're calling Times of Grace, and they've already started working on material for their debut album. According to Leach, "We have two songs to go and we will be finished with all of the vocals. Adam has taken lead vocals in three songs as of yet and he is doing a great job. We also worked on a track yesterday that is so epic — we trade vocals and do two different melodies at the same time. This album went from a melodic metal album to an epic mix of metal/rock/pop/shoegaze and punk. So all of your metal expectations will be incorrect — we are pushing genre boundaries." To quote "Meet the Parents," we'll look forward to that, Greg. ...

The Funeral Pyre and Early Graves will be hitting the road together next month, starting November 7 in South Lake Tahoe, California. Dates are booked through November 21 in Hollywood. ...

The latest incarnation of Brujeria, which features Carcass frontman Jeff Walker and Napalm Death's Shane Embury, have lined up several U.S. dates for this winter. The band will begin its brief trek November 28 in Denver, and wrap things up in Dallas on December 7. ... Demiricous will be touring with the Gates of Slumber starting November 9 in Denver, for a jaunt that's scheduled to run through December 6 in Indianapolis. ...

Nearly three years after Roadrunner Records' Roadrunner United concert, which took over the Nokia Theater in New York's Times Square, the label is now releasing footage from that special night as "Roadrunner United: The Concert." The DVD, which hits stores December 9, will boast two discs and 24 live tracks, including Life of Agony's "River Runs Red," King Diamond's "Abigail," Killswitch's "My Last Serenade," Type O Negative's "Black No. 1" and Sepultura's "Refuse/Resist." ...

According to Blabbermouth, Verrot, bassist for Swedish black-metal outfit Elimi, committed suicide on October 3. In a statement, the band said, "Verrot was a very good friend, brother, an excellent bass player/musician and an important part of Elimi; we respect his decision and hope he'll find his way with the dark gods of Chaos. Let your black flame be a part of what brings forth the day of wrath."

Linday Lohan's Playboy Photos Leak

Mag tells MTV News 'someone took photos of Lindsay's pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue.'
By Jocelyn Vena

Lindsay Lohan's leaked Playboy cover
Photo: Playboy

First, Lindsay Lohan's Playboy cover leaked, and days later, a set of photos set to appear in the January/February issue hit the Net when Perez Hilton posted the photos on his blog Friday (December 9).

The photos clearly pay homage to Marilyn Monroe and her vintage Playboy pictorial. Lohan, donning little more than red lipstick (and, in one pic, a fur shrug), poses nude in front of a red curtain. The actress was photographed in soft light as she poses on red couches and bedding, in various sexy positions.

The photos were shot in November in Los Angeles, in between Lohan's court dates and legal issues. In an interview with "The Insider," mom Dina said the pictorial would be "tastefully done." "She's been working in front of the camera with Ford Models since she was a little girl," she added. "So she kinda knows how to work that."

A rep for Playboy addressed the latest leak to MTV News in a statement: "Someone took photos of Lindsay's pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue. They posted the photos online without permission. We are not releasing any official images or information until December 15."

Lohan is set to do an interview with Ellen DeGeneres on her December 15 talk show to about the pictorial. It was originally planned that the cover and an additional image would debut on the show.

A source told TMZ that Playboy execs are "freaking out" about the leak. The magazine is slated to hit newsstands next week, and the magazine allegedly printed thousands of extra copies. They fear the leak could hurt sales and they had been banking on the fact that this would be the mag's best-seller of the year. The actress was reportedly paid nearly $1 million for the shoot.

Lady Gaga's Born This Way Tour Will Be 'Exaggerated'

Producer Fernando Garibay tells fans to 'use your imagination' for Mother Monster's upcoming tour.

When Lady Gaga released Born This Way earlier this year, she had just wrapped up the Monster Ball Tour. Now, with 2011 coming to an end, it's only a matter of time before she launches her next stage spectacle. So what should fans expect? Anything and everything.

"This album was the most personal [because of] the amount of detail that went into this record, the amount of passion [and] emotion from her and the team," Fernando Garibay, Gaga's producer, told MTV News last week. "Every song was a story towards the Born This Way theme. We're excited now, putting that into the tour and expressing that on a live performance level.

"You can imagine what happened on the Monster Ball, so use your imagination," he said. "That's what's going to happen, exaggerated."

For now, Gaga is playing radio shows — smaller shows like KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball in Los Angeles, which she headlined last weekend.

"I would love to go out there and do my entire new album, but everyone out there wants to hear the songs that [radio] has made hits for me over the years," she told us backstage at Jingle Ball. "So I wanted to honor the radio station as well as the fans tonight and give them a little bit of my new record, but also all the songs from the past three years."

She explained to MTV News that these mini-gigs are a good tease of what fans will see on the Born This Way trek. Gaga's recent performances have been pop shows full of spectacle, including bouncy, hospital-themed dance numbers (an homage to the "Marry the Night" video) and dedications to metal culture with gang-inspired fashion that certainly reflects the looks she wore on parts of the Monster Ball Tour. But they are on such a smaller scale that Gaga admitted she couldn't do everything she wanted to do.

"I couldn't fit my Olympic-size moon onto [the] stage," she laughed. "It's going to have the feeling of it in some ways. It's hard to explain. It's very different aesthetics. But the vision of the show tonight is sort of a continuation of this junkyard motorcycle gang mixed with a dark Christmas. I'm excited; we worked really hard on it."

In addition to beginning to conceive the Born This Way Tour, Gaga just dropped her "Marry The Night" video, is up for three Grammys and is beginning to work on her next album.

'New Year's Eve': The Reviews Are In!

Critics complain of the movie's crowded cast and 'half-dozen trivial subplots.'
By Kevin P. Sullivan

Lea Michele in "New Year's Eve"
Photo: Warner Bros. Pictures

How many stars does it take to make a successful romantic comedy? Whatever the right answer may be, the reviews for "New Year's Eve" indicate that two dozen is probably too many.

The follow-up to last year's successful "Valentine's Day," the star-packed rom-com modeled on "Love Actually," has earned some of the worst reviews of the year, with critics complaining of over-jammed story lines and convenient storytelling.

Check out our roundup of the reviews to help you decide whether to check out "New Year's Eve" this weekend.

The Story
"Elsewhere in the great big city, a wondrous toy, just made for a girl and boy: Ashton Kutcher and Lea Michele are stuck in an elevator together. Robert De Niro lies dying in a hospital, hoping to see the ball drop from the rooftop one last time. Halle Berry is his nurse. Michelle Pfeiffer is the mousy record company executive who cuts loose with the help of hopped-up delivery boy-man Zac Efron. Katherine Heigl (playing a Type-A control freak, for a change) and Jon Bon 'Blasé Beyond Previously Known Human Limits' Jovi discuss past heartache and future prospects at the swank New Year's Eve party hosted by Cherry Jones, whose son, Josh Duhamel, is stuck in Connecticut and trying to get back. Sarah Jessica Parker is the mother of Abigail Breslin, the latter desperate to get off on her own with her pals." — Michael Phillips, The Chicago Tribune

The Cast
"The casting is the least of this movie's problems, but the most bizarre. Michelle Pfeiffer plays a lonely old biddy — what are they trying to do to her? — and Sarah Jessica Parker (born 1965) and Zac Efron (born 1987) are brother and sister. (Oh, their poor mother.) Josh Duhamel, who looks as if he's 30, goes through the movie talking about a planned midnight rendezvous with the woman of his dreams. Then the woman shows up, looking not quite old enough to be his mother, but like a half sister from a previous marriage. It's as if the roles were handed out by lottery." — Mick LaSalle, San Francisco Chronicle

Hilary Swank
"How is it possible to assemble more than two dozen stars in a movie and find nothing interesting for any of them to do? What sins did poor Hilary Swank commit, that after winning two Oscars, she has to play the role of the woman in charge of the New Year's Eve ball in Times Square? And if you don't think there's dialogue about getting her ball to drop, you're barking up the wrong movie." — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

The Directing and Screenplay
" 'New Year's Eve' was directed by Garry Marshall (best known for 'Pretty Woman') from a screenplay by Katherine Fugate. Last year the same team gave us the similarly unendurable 'Valentine's Day.' Like its forerunner, 'New Year's Eve' interweaves more than a half-dozen trivial subplots into a cheerlessly cheery mosaic. The screenplay isn't written so much as assembled in carefully slotted little blocks, following the rules of a screenwriting textbook." — Stephen Holden, The New York Times

Final Word
"Why bother with a new title? 'New Year's Eve' is simply 2010's 'Valentine's Day' all over again, and it's about as appealing as a flute of cheap Champagne left over from the last holiday. Sitting through 'New Year's Eve' is like attending a crowded party filled with pretty people who have nothing to say." — Claudia Puig, USA Today

Justin Bieber Graduates To 'Adult Game' On New Album

'We've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up,' producer Kuk Harrell tells MTV News.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Vanessa White Wolf

Justin Bieber has said that he wants to pull a Justin Timberlake on his next album. So what exactly does that mean? His longtime vocal producer, Kuk Harrell, spoke to MTV News about the early stages of Bieber's next release.

"The only conversation we've had about Justin's album that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," said Harrell, who has also worked with Rihanna on her Talk That Talk record. "And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between."

With further details on this next album being kept under wraps, Bieber is busy celebrating the holidays. He's slated to release his video for "All I Want for Christmas," co-starring Mariah Carey, on Wednesday. Harrell worked with Bieber on his Under the Mistletoe LP and says agreeing to do a Christmas album with the teen phenomenon was an easy yes.

"That's why I think this Christmas album was really important because it gave everybody the opportunity to hear him, see him and get used to his voice changing," he said. "That was a huge thing going into this album. We were able to get a running start on where he's at vocally 'cause it's a natural thing. When his proper album comes out, everybody's going to really be looking at that."

What will be noticeably different on this next album, which was teased on his holiday album, is that Bieber's voice will be much deeper. So does Harrell think it'll be changing a lot more for this next record? "I think he's pretty good right now," he said. "It's just a matter of him settling [into] where he is."

Regardless of what magic does end up making the final cut on this album, which Bieber has said may include work from Drake and Kanye West, Harrell notes that the 17-year-old is "always willing to bring a new fire."

Taylor Swift, Rihanna Dress To Impress At Billboard Awards

Nicki Minaj, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez also make fashion splash on red carpet, as showgirl style rules at the Las Vegas event on Sunday night.
By Jocelyn Vena

On Sunday night, some of the biggest names in the music industry hit up the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas and decided that sparkles and sequins make for the perfect additions to any red carpet get-up. Well, it is Sin City after all.

Taylor Swift always seems to bring some of that Nashville sparkle to any red carpet. She arrived at the show in a pale-hued, sequined Elie Saab gown. Nicki Minaj showed off her signature sense of style in her baby-blue, body-hugging spandex Mark Fast catsuit.

Selena Gomez turned up the style dial in a sexy, cut-out black Dolce & Gabbana gown that she paired with red strappy sandals with sparkly bow detailing. Like Gomez, Ke$ha opted for some cut-out detailing in her sparkly, slate-gray dress with tulle skirt. Rihanna looked white hot in her men's tailored Max Azria suit, which she kept sexy and feminine by not buttoning her shirt all the way.

Fergie went S&M chic in her little black bandage-type dress by Hervé Léger. Nicole Kidman also wore black. She paired a casual braid hairstyle with a long black gown and Keith Urban. British pop cutie Kyle Minogue looked funky in her little black lacey dress. Inside the show, Britney Spears sat in the audience wearing a skimpy black dress of her own, her hair in loose curls, with little-to-no accessories.

While some stars kept the color scheme low-key, Keri Hilson decided to stand out in her billowy little yellow dress paired with a turquoise-colored belt. Kelly Rowland showed off some of her best assets in a body-hugging, bright pink bandage dress.

The fellas also looked tight on the carpet. Joe Jonas wore all black with white sneakers, Ne-Yo paired his periwinkle suit with a Yankees cap and Justin Bieber wore black tuxedo pants with a gold-lamé tuxedo jacket.

Which stars' styles caught your eye at the Billboard Music Awards? Tell us in the comments.

During our Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years, we've been asking celebrities to tell us what their personal favorite Britney Spears videos are.

" 'Toxic'!" Gabe Saporta and Victoria Asher of Cobra Starship shouted in unison.

"I don't know if it's that the song was so amazing or what," Gabe said. " 'Womanizer' is amazing!" he added about director Joseph Khan's follow-up video, which features a similar series of Britney alter egos as a theme.

"I'm going to go with the 'Slave' joint," Nick Cannon said with certainty. "That track was crazy. It was probably my favorite Britney record but then the video ... It was all hot and they were sweating. Britney did that!"

"Is it '... Baby One More Time' when she was in the schoolgirl outfit?" "Jersey Shore" star Ronnie asked. "Yeah, that's it."

Head over to Britney30.MTV.com and vote for your favorite music video in MTV News' Britney Spears Tournament: 30 Videos for 30 Years.

When asked what he liked most about it, he laughed and said, "Her in the schoolgirl outfit!"

"The one when she's in the little schoolgirl clothes," agreed Joe Manganiello, who plays the big and burly werewolf Alcide Herveaux in HBO's "True Blood." "That's a good one."

Emily VanCamp from ABC's "Revenge" agreed with Ronnie and Joe. "That was the thing, you know?"

Comedian and talk-show host Jimmy Fallon also went with "... Baby One More Time," saying, "That one's just a classic!"

Unfortunately, "... Baby One More Time" fell out of the competition in the second round of voting to the newer video "Criminal," off of Spears' latest album, Femme Fatale.

Go vote for the finalists now at Britney30.mtv.com and let us know your thoughts on the tournament in the comments section below!

Justin Bieber And Boyz II Men Unwrap 'Fa La La' Video

Black-and-white video showcases Bieber's heartfelt singing with his idols.

Christmas is right around the corner, but the Biebs is already in the holiday spirit. On Wednesday (November 23), Justin Bieber dropped the video for "Fa La La" with Boyz II Men. There are no reindeer or presents under the tree; instead, Justin and the Philadelphia R&B outfit sing of a warm love that will endure through the holiday season.

The black-and-white clip begins in an empty loft, where Bieber sings alone, with his arms flailing and face slightly scrunching every time he hits those heartfelt notes. Justin's solo intro leads way to a collaborative bridge, where Boyz II Men join in. "Baby you de-serve eve-ry-thing you want/ It's your night," they all sing in harmony as the "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye" vocalists join the teenage star in song on the front porch of a brick house.

No elaborate set needed. With an empty city as their backdrop, the four crooners throw down in an old-fashioned sing-off. As the track builds, BIIM's Wanya Morris really gets into it, pounding his chest and kicking one leg up to accentuate his performance. Bieber, who is dressed in a white tee and slim-cut leather jacket, tugs on his collar to let you just how much his words mean to him.

On November 1, Bieber teased the clip when he tweeted, "Killed it with @BoyzIImen on DWTS and then just shot a video for our song #FALALA with @colintilley - great night! living a dream. Thanku," in reference to his appearance on "Dancing With The Stars" and the Colin Tilley-directed "Fa La La" video.

Maybe some of Boyz II Men's subject matter was a bit mature for the pint-size Bieber, but they influenced him nonetheless. "He told us his mom didn't want him to sing 'I'll Make Love to You,' so he'd sneak and go sing it somewhere," Wanya Morris told MTV News. "It's also good to know we've influenced such a good artist. It's something that makes us feel we've accomplished [something and] we're doing our job, [that] a guy so young and so into his craft [is] influenced by three guys from Philadelphia that love to sing."

Yes, "Fa La La" is the latest single from JB's holiday LP, Under the Mistletoe, but Tilley and company didn't overload the video with Christmas themes as to so implicitly tie it to December 25 -- after all, true love should last all year 'round.

What do you think of the video? Let us know in the comments!

'Dark Knight Rises' Prologue Debate Gets 'Nerdy'

In this week's 'Talk Nerdy to Me,' the team tackles the Batman prologue, the latest 'Ender's Game' casting and more.
By Josh Wigler

Photo: Warner Bros. Pictures

After a weeklong hiatus, "Talk Nerdy to Me" is back in action with all of your comic book, movie and TV needs. From today's official announcement of the "Dark Knight Rises" prologue to a special cameo from Daniel Day-Lewis' Abraham Lincoln beard, this week's "Talk Nerdy" has it all. Keep reading for a taste of what you'll see this week, and watch the episode in the video below!

"Dark Knight" Prologue Confirmed
Now that the news is official, the Talk Nerdy team is left wondering what Christopher Nolan's "Dark Knight Rises" prologue might entail. Are we in store for a "Batman Begins"-inspired montage? Might we see the death of a popular character from the Caped Crusader's supporting cast? We floated a few of our own theories, however ridiculous, in this week's episode.

"Ender's" Cast
The wheels are most certainly in motion for "Ender's Game," director Gavin Hood's big-screen adaptation of the beloved Orson Scott Card novel. "Hugo" star Asa Butterfield has been confirmed to play the titular Ender, and there are talks of "True Grit" actress Hailee Steinfeld and the legendary Harrison Ford joining the cast as well. Great actors, to be sure, but are they the right ones for the project? Find out what Nerdy's Brian Phares thinks about the upcoming project.

The "Game of Thrones" Blu's
When you play the "Game of Thrones," you win or you die. But when it comes to the HBO fantasy show's upcoming Blu-ray collection, it looks like we're all going to win. The Blu-ray was announced earlier this week, and the details are bound to have fans of the franchise foaming at the mouth. The Nerdy team geeked out over the upcoming collection, especially the announced "Creating the Dothraki Language" feature.

Spider-Leak, Spider-Leak
The weekend box office is dry in terms of new wide releases, so we recommend you just go ahead and see "The Muppets" again. It's that good! In lieu of our normal box-office report, this week's Talk Nerdy focused on the infamous "Amazing Spider-Man" Lizard leak from earlier in the week. Needless to say, the team was not impressed.

Tell us what you thought of this week's Talk Nerdy in the comments section!

Check out everything we've got on "The Dark Knight Rises."

Usher And David Guetta 'Proud' Of 'Without You'

'When you see R&B and pop and house, as well as electronic, come together, that's the reality of what music is,' Usher tells MTV News.

When Usher and David Guetta hooked up for the French DJ's latest album, Nothing but the Beat, the two superstars created a chart-topping smash, "Without You," that combines Guetta's ear for house beats and Usher's ability to convey a range of emotions with his voice. It's a song that has really stuck with fans of all genres of music.

The track — a swirling pop ode to not giving up on love in the face of adversity — struck Usher with its emotional core.

"David Guetta is an amazing artist," he told MTV News last week at a Pencils of Promise charity event. "We talked for many years about working together, and we found a record that was incredible."

Usher said it was a song that resonated with him personally. "I think the world wanted a record like that. That [song] really spoke to the journey that I've actually been on in the last three years," he said. "Traveling all around the world, music sounds different. There's many different genres, and when you see R&B and pop and house, as well as electronic, come together, that's the reality of what music is."

When MTV News talked to Guetta on the American Music Awards red carpet Sunday, he said "Without You" is a standout track on the album. The LP dropped earlier this year and also includes Nicki Minaj, who performed with Guetta at the AMAs.

"It's one of my favorite songs," he said. "It's just, I'm a DJ, so I want to make people dance always, but I also want to give emotions. When it comes to that, 'Without You' is probably one of the most emotional songs that I've done, and yes, I'm very proud of that record."

'Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn': Year In Review

We look back on an action-packed 2011 with Rob, Kristen, Taylor and more, in Twilight Tuesday.
By Kara Warner

This week's Twilight Tuesday is dedicated to the 10 best "Twilight" moments of 2011. Selecting the list proved to be a daunting task, considering an action-packed year full of "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" news, interviews, photos, videos and more. Among the biggest highlights were saucy honeymoon photos, much ado about a sex scene, the birth of a vampire/human hybrid baby and the return of the fan-created "tent city" in support of the L.A. premiere of "Part 1."

10. "Breaking Dawn" Soundtrack Revealed
The vampire franchise has not only made its stars super famous, but an artist who lands on any of the films' best-selling soundtracks can expect a special boost and instant exposure to a massive fanbase. Emerging acts like Sleeping At Last and Christina Perri, as well as rising stars like Bruno Mars have earned featured spots on the compilations. But "Twilight" stars have also contributed material, with Mia Maestro's "Carmen" making the cut.

9. The "Twilight" World Tour
There's nothing like the glitz of a red-carpet premiere to bring out the best in everyone, particularly with regard to wardrobe choices. When the "Breaking Dawn" cast embarked upon a whirlwind tour of world premieres, Twilighters couldn't wait to see who wore what. MTV News captured the glamorous looks in a handy photo gallery for repeated viewing pleasure.

8. "Breaking Dawn" Goes To Comic-Con
Those who've been following the franchise from the beginning will probably remember that it was at in 2008 San Diego Comic-Con that thousands of screaming fans descended upon the annual pop-culture convention and surprised convention-goers with their overwhelming enthusiasm. That first showing was such a huge success that going forward, Summit made Comic-Con a major priority with regard to promoting the films. At this summer's event MTV News got several particularly newsy tidbits about Renesmee and Jacob's imprinting, but we also really loved hearing Kristen Stewart talk about Bella's wedding.

7. Our Extended "Breaking Dawn" Interview
We've had the pleasure of catching up with the castmembers several times this year, so it was hard to narrow down all of those great interviews into just one favorite. That said, we loved hearing Robert Pattinson talk about Stewart playing a vampire in "Breaking Dawn - Part 2." And he really loved that she had to suffer through those uncomfortable contact lenses for the transition. "When she finally wore them and then was complaining about them every second of the day, it was kind of satisfying," he smiled.

6. The First Photo
Any piece of "Twilight" news is arguably cause for a few screams of delight for Twilighters. But when Summit released the first steamy, swoon-worthy photo of newlyweds Edward and Bella in bed together, we could practically hear the collective squeals and sighs from fans around the world. Talk about starting the New Year off with a bang.

5. The Trailer
This one really needs no introduction or explanation, but if there were squeals when the first photo was released, there may well have been mind-explosions and full-on fainting when we premiered the first full-length "Breaking Dawn" trailer during the '11 MTV Movie Awards. The clip offered glimpses of the wedding, a shirtless Jacob Black, the Cullens, the wolf pack, a very unexpected and dangerous pregnancy ... everything a Twilighter hoped for.

4. Fan-Made Reactions To The Trailer
When we asked "Twilight" fans to send in their reactions to the trailer, we couldn't have anticipated all of the crying. Fans shed tears of joy, of course, and with those emotional outpourings clinched prominent placement on our list.

3. "MTV First: Breaking Dawn," The Highlight Reel
As we've already mentioned, we were lucky to spend time with the cast this year. One of the best interviews we conducted was as part of our "MTV First" series. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner introduced an exclusive clip and let loose in a lively Q&A. We even put together a highlight reel from the extra-special event that includes making Stewart uncomfortable and Pattinson complaining about Lautner's well-defined abs.

2. The L.A. Premiere
Excitement over the star-studded Los Angeles premiere of "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" was so intense it seemed to rival major Hollywood events like the Golden Globes or the Academy Awards. Celebrity super fans begged to attend and came out in droves to the premiere, many with their children and teenagers in tow. The fans' cheering was nonstop as the stars arrived on the black carpet, but it reached fever pitch with the arrival of Pattinson. Naturally, our quick chat with the heartthrob about all those sex scenes and their potential to give the film an R-rating made our Twilight Tuesday "best of" list.

1. Fans Unite In "Tent City"
Make no mistake, we have high regard for Pattinson, Stewart, Lautner, director Bill Condon and everyone who worked on "Breaking Dawn," but when it comes to the franchise's key components, the fans are the real secret to its success. When we visited the dedicated, die-hard bunch that descended upon downtown Los Angeles to camp out, we were delighted by their enthusiasm. Gathered in appropriately named "tent city," they amassed several days before the premiere in a show of ultimate fandom.

So here's to you, "Twilight" fans, and see you again next year for "Breaking Dawn - Part 2."

Check out everything we've got on "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1."
